  • The upper limit is 32. If your handicap exceeds 32, you are still eligible to participate, but it will be capped at 32.

  • Every CMGA tournament utilizes live scoring via your smartphone. Your pre-established handicaps will be readily available, and our app will automatically adjust scores. A live leaderboard will be accessible throughout the event, eliminating the need for manual score calculation on each hole. Simply relish the game!

  • The four-person scramble features teams of four golfers competing against other foursomes for the lowest 18-hole score. Each team player hits from the tee box, then the team members choose the best of the four shots for the next shot. All team members then play the second shot from that location and again choose the best shot. Play continues in this manner until the hole is completed. The team then records its score and maintains this format for all 18 holes.

  • Points allocation is based on the scores achieved by each team during the tournaments. The team with the best score will be awarded 30 points, while the team with the second-best score will receive 29 points, and so forth, following a descending order.

  • The determination of the best team is based on the cumulative points accumulated throughout both of our tournaments. At the conclusion of the events, the teams with the highest total points across both tournaments will be crowned the winners.

  • No, players are required to compete with the same team throughout the tournament series. Each team must consist of either three or four players who participated together in the first tournament to maintain consistency and fairness in team composition.

  • Canada’s Muslim Golf Association (CMGA) adheres to the 2023 Official Guide to the Rules of Golf, a publication recognized and utilized by esteemed organizations such as R&A, USGA, and Golf Canada. In the event of any disputes regarding the interpretation or application of the rules, they will be referred to the Rule Committee Chair for resolution. The ruling issued by the Committee Chair is considered final and binding.
